Comparison of Hair Removal Methods

index-featured-003Now we took a look at some of the all time consuming and often painful methods of hair removal women and men have attempted throughout the years.

We compare the most popular hair removal methods:

Shaving,  Waxing,  Depilatories,  Epilators, Laser Hair Removal,  Electrolysis,  Finally Free Permanent Hair Removal System

—————————————————

1. Shaving:

Pretty obvious application. Here’s the problem, you have to do it every day or every other day. Shaving involves scraping a sharp metal blade across the surface of your skin, removing not only the hair but also the top layer of essential oils that help moisturize your skin. The removed hair begins to re-grow almost immediately and quite frankly razor blades are dangerous. And you would be surprised how expensive shaving can get.

Permanent: NO

Pain Free: Mostly - If you don’t cut an artery

2. Hot and Cold Waxing:

Waxing consists of either the cold or hot varieties. Cold waxing ( Aussie Nad’s) requires spreading the cold wax onto the skin, applying a top sheet of paper that adheres to the wax, then ripping the paper off. May we emphasize the word ripping here?

It’s painful, messy, difficult to do at home, and you have to let the hair grow to be 1/4 of an inch long before you can use it! Yuck! Who wants to walk around as hairy as a gorilla in order to remove it.

Hot Wax uses essentially the same methodology as cold waxing, but you give yourself the privilege of burning the skin first when you apply the wax. Best left to professionals.

Permanent: NO

Pain Free: NO

Easy: NO

Messy: Yes

Fast: NO

3. Depilatories:

The FDA says that depilatories work on your skin like “a chemical razor blade”. They also say that chemicals that “destroy the hair can also cause serious skin irritations-possibly even chemical burns–if left on too long. That’s what you need - a hairy upper lip with sores from your chemical burn ! Just Say NO! (source: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow” FDA web site).

Permanent? NO

Pain Free? Hardly

4. Epilators:

The manufacturer’s that make this torture devise actually had the nerve to call those electric disks that spin and rip your hair out - a Massager! These don’t even remotely feel like a massage!

Those hand held electric razor sized multi-gripping devices that give you the opportunity to tear out more than one hair at a time. Sort of like roto-tilling your skin to get rid of the old crop of hair so a new crop can grow in.

Plus many of these products cost upwards of $70 and they’re not even permanent!

Permanent? Pain Free? Are you serious? Tweeze one hair the old fashion way then imagine doing 30 or 40 hairs at a time.

Permanent: NO

Pain Free: NO

Expensive: Yes

5. Electrolysis:

Electrolysis is a permanent hair removal method! Here’s the bad news… You will pay anywhere from $25 - $65 per hour to have someone else stick a needle into your skin and kill the hairs at the root.

Electrolysis kills hair at the the root by sending a wave or current through a needle. Plus it does not work as effectively on curly hair - because the hair shaft itself is not straight.

Permanent? Yes. Pain Free? No. Expensive? About 1500 bucks (if that’s not expensive to you then we all want your life).

Our Clinical Studies concluded the electrolysis should never be used again because a safer, equally effective alternative exists in Finally Free.

Permanent: Yes

Pain Free: No

Very Expensive: Yes

Possible Infection and/or Scarring: YES

6. Laser:

First, to have Laser Hair Removal done in most states you need a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist… then, if that’s not inconvenient enough many of you will have to go back again in three to six months when the hair grows back (Laser is not permanent. What they quote is permanent reduction- not permanent removal.)

Permanent? Clinical Studies done by the companies that make the lasers and submitted to the FDA allow them to state permanent reduction in hair. Typical results are 25% - 50%

Painful? It can be if not done properly.

Very Expensive? Very.

Permanent: For some.

Pain Free: Not Always

Works on All Hair Types and Colors: NO

Chance of Burning, Infection, and/or Scarring: YES

Guaranteed: NO

7. Finally Free  Clinically Proven: Yes

Done in the Privacy of your own home: Yes

Expensive? No.

Permanent: Yes, Clinical Studies show that 60% of treated hairs will not re grow with just one treatment, results that are equal to electrolysis and better than laser.

Pain Free: Yes

Works on All Hair Types and Colors: Yes

Chance of Burning, Infection, and/or Scarring: No

Guaranteed: YES

Nice to see that there are blog owners that care about their blogs and not post all kind of useless stuff but rather try to keep it clean and valuable for the sake of their subscribers. You?ve done a great job and i thank you for that and also for not traumatizing me with useless garbage and spam.
